Saina Nehwal, Prannoy Test Positive Covid19, Withdrawn from Yonex Thailand Open 2021

BAI official communication states that both players have been withdrawn from the tournament and have to be isolated for a minimum 10 days.  Saina's husband Kashyap also was isolated and is waiting for the test result. BAI ensures that other Indian players includes PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Sourabh Verma, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty, Sikki Reddy and Ashwini Ponappa are participating in the tournament and is continuously communicating with the players, BWF officials, and BAT officials. 

Saina, Prannoy, Kashyap alongwith RMV Gurusaidutt and Pranaav Chopra had tested positive last month and had served the mandatory quarantine period. They had also cleared the pre-departure COVID-19 test and also tested negative on arrival in Bangkok.
